Hi, I'm Sivan!

My Father used to take photos of my sister and me when we were both young girls growing up in Israel.
He bottled up all these small, elusive, carefree moments of our childhood- memories I vividly cherish with my heart, that otherwise would have faded with time if it were not for his photography.

And then there was the sense of anticipation I felt each time he developed his roles of film. The sheer exhilaration of clutching the prints in my hands and slowly watching the past reveal itself before my eyes captivating me as a young girl.
As a photographer living in New York now, the enduring magic of photography- the sense of visual 'revelation' has never relaxed his possession over me.
I love interacting with children and I am lucky to share my love and passion for photography with them as I capture the small and precious moments of their lives.

I welcome your questions or comments about my work. Thank you for visiting.

Little Miss Ellie

Little miss Ellie is a true blue-eye princess. She owns an amazing pink-brown kingdom that her talented mommy has designed for her, filled with books, stuffed animals and fashionable outfits, I would love to have them in my size in my closet. Ellie was so excited for her first Model debut, that her mommy changed her outfits few times. She was such an easy going baby to be with and shoot. I wish all my baby models will be like her.
Happy First Birthday Little Princess.

Idan, the Cutest Curly Hair Kid in Tel Aviv

I know Idan since he was born. When he was almost one year old, his baby hair turned curly and I nick named him Taltaloni, which is an endearing name in Hebrew for curly hair. I think this nick name matches his personalty perfectly. Idan is always running around, playing hide and seek, asking million and one questions in one minute and not only that, giving the answers by himself. What a joy!
I took these pictures one day in the afternoon, when he was very (not surprisingly) energetic. His mom had to buy him his favorite ice cream just to 'bribe' him to sit down and co operate with me. Eventually in between the sandbox, the swings and the slide, I took some of his pictures in his 'resting mode'.

Cute Cait and her Paper Dolls Party

I love taking pictures of kids who are very engaged playing with their toys and creating a world of their own. Beside the fact that this is a blessing for their parents, especially on a weekend morning, it is also a great opportunity for a photographer to take authentic pictures of the kids.
They are in their natural surrounding and feel at ease, which makes the photo shoot better and magical.
I was invited for a special paper dolls party by Cait and I couldn't turn down the invitation. Cait is 4 years old and very independent. She knows what she wants. She is very friendly.
The party took place in Cait's room on a Saturday morning, with a new collection of paper dolls and their colorful paper clothes, all laid out on Cait's bed.
Before we got the party started, Cait dressed up in her floral summery skirt and matched it with a sparkly tin top. She brushed and untangled her curly hair (a Saturday morning routine) and had her special weekend breakfast.
It was amusing watching Cait setting her other toys around the bed, just so they can be part of the party. I took this opportunity to capture all the fun and the enthusiasm in these magical moments.

Little Tomi in Central Park

I was so excited when Liat, my girlfriend, has asked me to take family pictures of her, her husband and little Tomi in Central Park.
There is no better time than the Fall season to take pictures in New York in general and in Central Park in particular.
The marvelous changing colors of the leaves make Central Park as a great setting for outdoors photography.

It was great watching Tomi running around with his new pair of shoes, playing with his parents and collecting some leaves from the ground to take home for mommy. He got a giant blue balloon but apparently we had to get rid of it. (doesn't fit New York apartments)
Tomi charmed everyone with his chubby cuddly rosy cheeks and his witty smile.
It was a great and colorful Fall afternoon.
